We may change this Privacy Notice from time to time. By using the HWC website and receiving our Newsletters, you are agreeing to be bound by this Privacy Notice.

Who we are
We are the Hampstead Women’s Club (the “Club” or “HWC”), a multinational social organisation for women living in the London area.
Where we obtain your personal information?
We primarily collect your personal information when you join the HWC as a member. This personal information is necessary in order for you to enrol as a member of the Club/HWC. The membership fee you pay on an annual basis includes receiving Newsletters by email and access to the HWC website: www.hwcinlondon.co.uk.
What type of information is collected from you?
The personal information that we may collect when you enrol as a member may include your name, home address, email address, telephone number, and mobile number. If you pay your membership dues or sign up to a Club activity or event online on the HWC website, we do not hold your debit/credit card information.
How is your information used?
We may use your information to:
§ send you our weekly/ad hoc Newsletters to keep you updated about HWC or to promote upcoming Club activities or events;
§ notify you of changes to our Club;
§ process a payment to attend an HWC activity or event;
§ send you communications related to an HWC activity or event that you have signed up and/or paid for;
§ include your details in an online membership directory, accessible to current HWC members only;
§ better understand the Club membership demographics. We want to ensure that the types of activities and the time of day they are being offered are meeting the needs of our members so that we can better serve our membership as a whole.
Retention of personal information
Your personal information will be retained for as long as you are a member of the HWC. Your personal information will be removed in the event a member is inactive for 2 years. The Club/HWC endeavour to store your personal information securely in accordance with accepted market standards and may do so either electronically or manually. While the Club/HWC have taken every reasonable care to ensure the implementation of appropriate technical and security measures, neither the Club/HWC can guarantee the security of your personal information over the internet, via email or via their websites, nor do the Club/HWC accept, to the fullest extent permitted by law, any liability for any errors in data transmission, machine, software or operating error or any other cause.
Access and control of personal information
You have, under certain circumstances, the following rights in response of your personal information:

§ the right to rectify personal information;
§ the right to request to use of personal information;
§ the right to request that personal information is erased;
§ the right to object to processing of personal information; and

The accuracy of your information is important to us. You can update your information at any time by editing your Profile on the HWC website: www.hwcinlondon.co.uk.
Who has access to your information?
We will not sell or rent your information to third parties.
We will not share your information with third parties for marketing purposes.
Right to withdraw consent
You have a choice about whether or not you wish to receive information from us. If you do not want to receive direct communication from the Club about the HWC, then you can change your preference at any time by contacting us by email: membership@hwcinlondon.co.uk.
